Attended Riverside High School in Greer South Carolina graduated in 1983.

1983-1985 Attended Diablo Valley Jr. College in Pleasant Hill, California, the second year on a full academic grant from the State of California.

1985-1987 Studied at San Diego State University on an academic acquired grant.

1987-1989 Studied and obtained a degree in political science and history from the UNCC.

1991-1993 Attended NCCU School of Law in Durham, North Carolina. Graduated May 1993.

Passed the South Carolina Bar exam in July 1993.

1993-1997 Senior Associate at Hinson Law Firm, a large Plaintiff's injury firm in the upstate of South Carolina. Carried an average case load of 300 cases.

1997 -1999 Worked for Herman Cox for two years in Greenville, South Carolina at the Law Office of Herman E. Cox, an attorney practicing for over 50 years.
